This series of photographs captures the emotional side of a relationship where both individuals are longing for freedom. Not a freedom in the physical sense, rather a freedom of the spirit. Beauty blends with hopelessness, the desire to escape collides with the inability to communicate and act. As if both the individuals were contolled by powers, which they are not able to conquer. Driven by desire they helplessly remain in the same place.

"If you want something badly, let it go free. If it comes back to you, it's yours forever".

Working with independent studio space Volume London and Glasgow band Isosceles, myself and Tom Duncan in co-operation with Central Station documented Isosceles journey to London to preview their new album during Frieze Art Fair 2009. The band also explored the contemporary art scene centered on the Frieze Art Fair – the galleries, characters and happenings.
